This is a book review for the Vegetarian Times Vegetarian Beginner’s Guide. I read this book when I first decided to become a vegetarian. It will alleviate many of your fears and concerns and you will become much more knowledgeable in the process. It will give you a much better ability to stand up against the naysayers and allow you to start to become a much healthier person.

Of course the book is not without its problems, but it explains reasons to become vegetarian in the beginning without preaching at you and also defends vegetarianism against common myths.

The book is divided nicely into sections so that you don’t have to read it cover to cover; you can skip to the vegetarian section of your choice. There is also a nice concise recipe section. I tried several of them myself and was pleasantly surprised.

There isn’t a better book to start you off on your vegetarian journey in my opinion. This is definitely not a complete literary guide to healthy vegetarian living though, it is only the first step. One will need to continue to research on the internet and in other books to truly thrive at becoming a vegetarian.
